How to Use This Calculator
Our tax calculator is designed to provide immediate answers for both Salaried and Non-Salaried (Business) individuals.
- Select your income period: Choose between Monthly or Yearly depending on how you receive your income.
- Enter your gross income: Input your total income before any deductions. The calculator updates instantly.
- Choose your employment type: FBR defines a salaried person as someone whose salary exceeds 75% of their total taxable income. If your business income is higher, select 'Business'.
- Check Filer Status: While basic salary tax slabs do not change based on your Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status, being a non-filer incurs heavy withholding taxes on banking and vehicle transactions.
If you have mixed income (both salary and business), you must determine which source constitutes more than 75% of your total income. If neither exceeds 75%, you fall under the Non-Salaried/Business tax slabs, which carry a higher tax rate.
